Workshop Prices

The ultimate aim of SCIENCE FANTASTIC is to foster a new or renewed interest in science and technology and to encourage students to “get their hands dirty” by simply doing it.

All workshops are $220.00 (incl GST) for a minimum of 40 students per workshop. If numbers exceed 40, then each additional student will be charged $5.50 (incl GST) each.

HANDS ON SCIENCE
A fantastic workshop where your students get to do their own experiments. Topics covered include Physics, Biology, Earth Science, Forensic Science and The Human Body. This totally "HANDS ON" workshop is a great chance for your students to learn some great lab skills and have fun learning how to do real science!

WATER SCIENCE (NEW)
Water is everywhere around us and we explore what it actually is, how it changes phase, why we must preserve it and present some cool experiments exploring all aspects of water. We look at the versatility of water, its characteristics and uses. Our exciting range of experiments allows students to have fun with water as well as learn who essential this life changing compound is for humanity.

DISCOVERY SCIENCE
Aimed at lower to middle primary students, Discovery Science is a fantastic introduction for your students to learn about Science, the scientific method and how to do experiments. We also cover safety issues for children in science as well as explain the role and importance of science in our modern world. There are also some amazing hands-on activities to get your kids SWITCHED ON to science!.

GRUNGE SCIENCE
A series of gruesome experiments that will captivate your students and teach them the yucky side of the human body. Watch out for our Vomit Slime, exploding custard and we show you how to make your skin crawl. Our GRUNGE scientists present some really cool experiments that kids can do for themselves at home. It's FUN, it's ENTERTAINING, and they'll never know that it's EDUCATIONAL to boot!

SCIENCE & CHANGE
Find out the secret to carbon dioxide and chemical change. This workshop entertains and informs students about the wonders of science using everyday objects. We show how change occurs in substances and understand the results of change. Students get to develop their skills in observing and predicting outcomes as well as helping our presenters to create some easy yet really cool experiments.

SCIENCE & TOYS
We investigate the science behind some really cool toys and gadgets that your students can make using simple objects and things from the home. Your students will have the opportunity to think through scientific procedures and discover how things move, use energy and be fun. The SCIENCE & TOYS workshop is practical and informative and aimed to inspire your students to get INTO science

SCIENCE ART
A hands-on and imaginative workshop that combines the use of science experiments with some innovative art techniques. Your students get to create three of their very own pieces of art using simple science experiments. This workshop also combines elements of design and use of colour in an amazing blend of science and creative expression. Your students will be amazed at how simple works of art can be so easily made!

MAKE IT FLY
Combing scientific principles, experimental process and hands-on activities, your students get to make three different flying craft from everyday objects. We look at how design and energy play a part in how objects move through the air as well as examine some brief pieces of history where humans tried and succeeded in flying. Your kids will be amazed as we make our own floating garbage ship, levitate balls and demonstrate the power of rocket science.

PRESCHOOL SCIENCE
Our preschool program has been carefully designed to allow each child to experience for themselves how things change, move and work. Each display is colourful and will assist your students to develop a deeper understand of the world around them. This workshop is a great way to introduce early aspects of experimenting as well giving preschoolers a chance to get their hands "dirty" by DOING SCIENCE!
